Senator Dawn Euer Announces Re-Election Campaign

Senator Dawn Euer announced today that she is running for re-election to the state senate in District 13, representing Newport and Jamestown. Her re-election announcement comes only one year after her campaign kick-off for last year’s special election.

“I have been honored to serve the residents of Jamestown, Newport, and Rhode Island for the past eight months,” said Euer, who was sworn into office in August. “Working with every day Rhode Islanders to help resolve problems at the state level is the best part of this job. I know that when we work together we can make lasting and impactful change.”

Since being elected, Senator Euer has been focused on a wide variety of issues facing her constituents; supporting an increase of renewable energy jobs, supporting efforts for senior citizens to stay in their homes as they age, supporting health care access for working families, promoting an independent redistricting committee, as well as opposing offshore drilling. “My experience as a lawyer and grassroots organizer have allowed me to hit the ground running, and while I’m proud of the work I’ve done so far, I know we’re just getting started.”

“I am deeply committed to public service and this community, and am proud to call Rhode Island my home,” added Euer. “I look forward to continuing to bring the voices of Jamestown and Newport residents to the State House and humbly ask for the support of Senate District 13 voters in this year’s election.”
