Dawn Euer for State Senate District 13 | Newport - Jamestown

"I'm running for office because I believe we need leaders in the General Assembly who will listen to their constituents and represent them with honesty and integrity.”

Dawn Euer, Senate Candidate for District 13

Committed to Jobs and the Economy

As an attorney who works with small businesses, Dawn knows that we can do more to support economic growth and job creation in our communities. Dawn is committed to increasing access to capital for our local businesses, streamlining the regulatory framework, and investing in job training to ensure our workers have the skills they need to succeed.

Committed to Government Accountability and Transparency

Dawn is an independent thinker who believes that we make the best decisions when we make those decisions together. Creative and effective solutions to our state’s challenges come from bringing all stakeholders to table, listening, engaging and finding common ground for Newport, Jamestown and Rhode Island.

Committed to the Environment

Newport and Jamestown are already feeling the effects of climate change. Dawn is committed to supporting renewable energy development, energy efficiency projects, green infrastructure and proper planning that helps small businesses and residents recover more quickly from coastal flooding and storms.

Committed to Seniors

Dawn will work hard to ensure our older citizens are getting the care they deserve. She knows it's important that they have access to information about support programs and services, public transportation that is professional and reliable, and policies that help people stay in their homes as they age.

Why Dawn?

Dawn comes from a working-class family and learned from an early age that the best way to get ahead in life is with hard work and perseverance. She worked her way through college, earned her degree, and moved to RI for law school to fulfill her dream of being able to empower people to make our communities stronger. Dawn fell in love with Newport and immediately got involved in the community as a proud Newporter-by-choice. Dawn owns a successful law firm with a focus on supporting social entrepreneurs and small businesses as well as non-profits that focus on grassroots mobilization. She was a leader in the fight for marriage equality and ushered through the historic piece of legislation that allows all loving couples the right to marry, regardless of gender. Dawn also has a record of fighting against corruption in government. Most recently, she represented petitioners who were working to recall Providence City Councilman, Kevin Jackson, which led to his being removed from his seat by his constituents. Dawn isn't afraid to stand up against the political machine and fight for what she believes in. Dawn believes in us! She's the fighter we need to represent us at the State House.
